Cucina di Lusso is the Sydney trattoria of di Lusso Estate, a producer of Italian varietal wine, olive oil and figs in Mudgee.
Our Winter 2008 menu is our fourth since our opening in August 2007. Classic regional soups, rich meat and vegetable stews, and red wine sauces are the core of our winter offering.
The (degustation)Tasting Menus - with their choice of four and six course regional dishes - and ala carte Trattoria Menu remain. We continue with our ItalianEasy menu of house-made pizza, pasta and antipasta, to be enjoyed at lunchtime or al fresco with a glass of our wine or a beer.
The menu includes our recommended wine match for each dish. Further detailed information on each wine is also provided in our Wine Tasting Notes.
Cucina di Lusso has a "Dine-or-Drink" licence. Under its provisions, we are permitted to serve wine, beer and spirits to visitors not intending to dine.
All wines are available by the glass, we have regular free tastings at the restaurant, and the prices of our di Lusso Estate range are about half the price of other Sydney restaurants.
Pinot Grigio and Vermentino are our varietal whites, Sangiovese, Barbera and Aglianico our varietal reds, and Picolit and Aleatico our varietal dessert wines. We also offer, at close to cellar door prices by both glass or bottle, a Vino Rosato, two Italian varietal red blends and our own Vin Santo.
At Cucina di Lusso, we use our own olive oil, mosto cotto, fresh figs in season (and fig products year round). All of these products can be bought at the restaurant.
Di Lusso also offers one of Sydney's widest ranges of imported Italian DOP cheeses – most of them world famous (but not often found in restaurants in this country), accompanied by our farm made pastes and chutneys.
